What does it mean to repent?

In simple terms, repentance is a turning — a change of mind that leads to a change of direction.

• Turning from sin (agreeing with God about it)
• Turning toward God (trusting Him and His word)

Repentance and faith belong together. You cannot cling to sin and cling to Christ in the same way.

If you feel shame, don’t run from God — run to Him. Grace welcomes honest sinners.
